Finding Leadership Role Models Beyond the Boardroom
I know that effective leadership extends far beyond the confines of the workplace.
As we celebrate Women's History Month, it's an opportune time to reflect on the remarkable women who have shaped not only our personal lives but also our leadership journeys.
In many instances, our most profound leadership role models come from unexpected places, transcending traditional professional settings. This Women's History Month, I am shining a spotlight on the impactful leadership traits demonstrated by the women in my life, especially those outside of the workplace.
Personally, I find endless inspiration in the women of my family – from the courageous trailblazers who immigrated to America in pursuit of new opportunities, to the creative thinkers who shaped our family's legacy. Their authenticity, people-centric approach, and work ethic profoundly influenced my own leadership style.

For leaders striving to excel in their careers, drawing inspiration from diverse role models for leadership is key.
By recognizing and embracing the effective leadership traits exhibited by women in all aspects of life, both men and women can cultivate a holistic approach to leadership. Female leaders are often authentic, inclusive, focused on building relationships and including diverse voices. Many female leader have encountered obstacles and as a result are innovative, resilient and determined.
Authenticity and Inclusivity
One key trait exhibited by the female leaders in my life is authenticity. Women often lead with honesty and vulnerability, fostering genuine connections and trust within their teams. I’ve seen it time and time again, women seeking out and amplifying diverse voices and perspectives.
Overcoming Obstacles
The female leaders that I admire, encountered and overcame obstacles, demonstrating resilience, innovation, and determination. Their ability to adapt and persevere in the face of challenges is a testament to their strength and tenacity. They inspire me to stick with it and to keep fighting.
